I’m sorry this is my only post this week but I’ve been a little busier than usual. However, I can promise this week’s Texas Blog Friday is a good one written by Weston Hicks from AgendaWise. Early this week the entire staff of Texans for Fiscal Responsibility had their Twitter accounts suspended and without reason. It wasn’t until this story hit DrudgeReport when Twitter quickly reinstated their accounts. Find out the full story below.
The Empower Texans/AgendaWise/Twitter saga has a back story.
All Twitter accounts at Empower Texans and AgendaWise were suspended after Daniel Greer, an original Empower Texans employee and current Executive Director of AgendaWise, acquired Twitter handles George Soros likely feels entitled to. The handles were related to StateImpact, a Soros project coming to Texas soon, and already up in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana.
With $4 million of George Soros seed money, StateImpact is a tool to move state governments to the left. In Texas, collaborators of NPR and Soros’s Open Society are teaming with the University of Texas, and Austin NPR affiliate KUT.
